Buddy (Lucky/Happy 02-219) [1]

We are sooo excited to have Happy here. What a doll. He is a somewhat larger golden, well, larger than my girl anyway. He is a very pretty blond /golden color. Exactly what I have always pictured. Happy is just that, very sweet and very easy to fall in love with. I believe his only goal in life is to be hugged and cuddled. If you sit down, he will nuzzle right into you and attempt to be a 56# lap dog:)! He loves to swim and retrieve and I mean LOVES to!!

Right now he is about 10#'s underweight and we are working on that. His coat is really rough almost like a wirehair. I can only imagine that is from poor nutrition. All we know about his food from his original family is that it was almost nonexistent. Table scraps here and there. When the wonderful lady who rescued him tried to feed him real dog food, it was completely alien to him. We have been working on him with that and he is doing great! Poor guy was just neutered on Tuesday, so he's a little sore but still trying to be energetic. I have yet to take him in for his shots and fecal because he hasn't pooped yet! So hopefully we'll get some action here soon. He is awesome with all other animals and people. He'll make some lucky family very happy. By the way this guy is REALLY smart. More to come after we see the vet.
