It's been while since I've updated on Pip. That's mostly because the only thing that changed has been the weather.

He has been a near perfect guest. He loves everyone he meets. He sometimes overwhelms my dogs with kissy faces.

The big news now is sad for me but for Pip it's the next page in his Golden life. He has been adopted by a family that is very committed to his well being and from early reports all are doing well. I know many experience the conflicted emotions that go with adoption, and I miss him deeply. But at the same time I'm so happy for him and his forever family.

After being adopted for a few months Pip found himself back at RAGOM due to medical issues within the adopting family. He has been with me for more than a week now and has settled into his new situation. He gets along well with my two Labs and I feel he would do equally well with another dog or as the only dog.

He bonds to people very quickly. The only time he leaves my side is when I let him out. He is completely housebroken and trustworthy to be left without kenneling. He needs regular exercise but is not high energy all the time. He calms down quickly once he is inside.

He barks when startled and sometimes when I'm on the other side of a gated area of the house. Considering he is only a year and a half, he has demonstrated many desirable traits. What he needs now is a forever home.

Hi everyone—Pip here with another update. For all my fans out there, I am doing great! I continue to have a blast with my foster siblings Ruby and Cody and would love to run and play with them the entire day, if they would only let me. Since I have so much puppy energy to burn, whenever they get tired I just continue to run in circles for a few more minutes and then I am good for the next few hours.

I saw and tasted snow for the first time last week and LOVED it. It's gone now but I hope to see more snow soon. Yesterday I got a new harness and apparently now I don't pull as much on walks.

I also went to another Meet & Greet in Edina and met a lot of nice people. I showed off some of the tricks I learned since I came to America. While I really like it here, I do hope to find my forever family soon.

XXOO,
Pip

I like to snuggle with my humans!
Does anyone have a treat for me?
I like this Meet & Greet! So many dogs and people and SMELLS!

Pip arrived at our house almost a week ago and is adjusting nicely to his new environment.  He gets along well with our two resident dogs and loves to run, play and tease them.  He loves to go for walks and is very excited about the birds, squirrels and geese we see on our walks.

He is a typical Velcro dog- always staying close to his humans.

He is crated when we are not at home and during the night.  While he does not like the crate, he's learned to tolerate it and he sleeps well during the night without making any noise.

Pip is a wonderful boy who will make somebody very happy. However, his new family will have to make sure he gets plenty of exercise to burn off that puppy energy.  He would probably enjoy any obedience and/or agility class.

Who can resist that face?

Hi Everyone,

Pip reporting in on my first week in America!  Can I say I LOVE this place!  My temp foster family had to go out of town for a few days so I got to have a sleep over at another foster home and made more friends! Everyone was so welcoming to me.  I am such a sweet playful boy, how could they not like me!

Well, not so sure about this dog as I couldn't get him to play with me.

I am super playful and like to tease other dogs with toys.

It's Keep Away Time!

Everytime I pic up a toy, I bring it to my human to show off what I have and get them to play with me.  They think I am just so silly.

On Saturday, I went to my first RAGOM Meet and Greet. That was a lot of fun and I got to meet a bunch of people. I got to see some of my fellow friends from Turkey, too, and a bunch of other nice dogs looking for their forever homes just like I am.  Then, as if my day couldn't get any better, I went to my first Playdate!  There were 9 dogs there.  5 of us were younger and spent two hours just running and chasing and teasing each other with the toys.  We all got along famously and had so much fun.  I hope in my forever home I will have lots of these Playdate things!

Here are some pictures of our time.  I'm the one in the green harness. I could barely contain my excitement with my new friends.

I will write again soon to let you know how I am doing!

Pip, the lovable, super cuddly and wiggly guy.

Pip has been with me for a short time. He is a loving one year old boy. He traveled a long way to find a better life in America. Pip comes to us from Istanbul, Turkey.

He loves to play with the other dogs in my home. He looks to them for guidance and is already learning many new things.

He is a smart boy and is learning quickly. He is keeping his kennel clean and does ask to go outside. I also let him out on a schedule so he gets the idea where he needs to take care of his business. So far everything is going great!

He is a very healthy boy except for an ear infection. He has been treated for that.

Pip needs a home with no small children/infants/toddlers as he may jump up on them.

We are still learning about Pip and he is learning from us. We will keep you updated as he continues on his journey in America.
