On Friday afternoon, July 15, we saw Sadie to the Rainbow Bridge. There is no doubt in our minds that she is playing and loving some boys and girls that never had the chance to have a dog.

For our girl that had 2 litters of puppies and was heart worm positive, all before she was 18 months old, she lived a very long and healthy life. At 13 1/2 years, things just quit working.

She truly loved her new home with us and was as loyal as the day was long. She was so soft hearted that I could not raise my voice in her presence without making her feel bad. When I took her to our new Vet about a year ago, he got down on his knee and said "How is the Princess?" And that she was. Always so proud and lady like.

Sadie, our dear friend, you will be missed.

Sadie went to the vet on Tuesday.  She had her first heartworm treatment shot and will need one more in a month.  She also has a urinary tract infection and is on meds for that.  Sadie was one hurting little girl Tuesday night from the shot.  She is doing much better now.

Sadie is definitely a velcro dog.  I have nearly tripped over her a few times because she is right there next to you.  It's hard to tie my shoes because I get a face wash every time I lean down!  She has this adorable way of sleeping - she crosses her paws and puts her nose between her legs!  I am trying to get a picture of it but every time I get up she follows!

Sadie arrived at her new foster home Saturday afternoon.  After settling in and getting to know Nugget, all is well.  Sadie still has lots of puppy in her and is curious about everything.  She goes tomorrow to the vet to start her heartworm treatment.  More later...
