Megan's surgery went very well and she got to come home the very same day. She seems more comfortable now that the tumor is gone. Yesterday, Megan had her stitches removed and her vet was very happy with the healing process. We got great news! Her pathology report showed NO cancer; we are just thrilled! She had her microchip implanted yesterday and is up-to-date on everything!
Megan is a real senior sweetheart and loves everyone she meets. I have a grooming business in my home and she is like the welcome wagon! She gets so excited whenever someone comes; I think she figures everyone is her best friend and they should be coming to her house to pet her. She loves other dogs and wants to play; she's pretty spunky for being over 13 years old. Megan and our resident dog, Henry, the Basset Hound, sometimes play and it's quite hilarious. They look like the odd couple!
Megan found out she really loves to shop with her foster dad. Of course, she knows she has him wrapped around her paws and she came home with a new toy and, of course, raw hides. She absolutely loves raw hides and usually has one in her mouth, not always chewing it, but carrying it around so she doesn't lose it. Her new toy, a stuffed pheasant, didn't last too long; she amputated the wings, legs, and then went for the stuffing. They just don't make dog toys sturdy enough, but she sure had fun! Megan also loves to go for car rides; she sits so nicely and looks likes she's really taking in all that's going on around her. Megan loves to sleep in bed at night and snuggle; during the day, she will nap on the couch or on one of the many dog beds we have in our home. She is 55 pounds, but many times will curl up in one of our small dog beds. She's such a clown!
Lucky Megan had a Valentine sponsor. Thank You, Jodi, for loving Megan and being her sponsor!
