Hatch 02-110

Profile

Hatch 02-110 is one of Daisy's April Fools.  Hatch is white with tan badger markings on his face and ears.  He also has a large tan spot on his back.  Hatch is the little guy of the litter.  He is content to sit back and let everyone else rush in, and then saunter up to claim his spot.  He has a lot of energy, and isn't afraid to let anyone know he thinks he's in charge.

Hatch was born on April 1, 2002 . Daisy’s April fool litter. He was the only white pup in a littler of 6. We drove from Wisconsin and picked him up in July of 2002 the summer before my daughter graduated HS.

“Hatchy boy” as my niece named him shared his love with so many, over the 14.7 years we were blessed to have him. Hatch had a bed and water over at Alice Chester girl Scout camp Wisconsin and would roam freely in the woods with us across the street. He had a girlfriend Daisy, who lived next door and they spent many hours playing at the Lake. Ragom sure helped to make a special dog- he will be in our hearts forever. He never left our side, and seemed to understand words unspoken. We were blessed with a very warm November this year, and we shared a great hike, the last week before we had to put him down- Nov 10, 2016. To know that kind of unconditional love is the best gift of all.

With sad hearts, Sue and Hank

Hatch at Girl Scouts

Thursday, June 16, 2016

Hatch has lived with us for 15 blessed years. He continues to  be playful, hides his toys, plays with other dogs and especially loves little girls. We live next to a Girl Scout Camp and Hatch is the honorary dog, he follows them around and gets plenty of petting. As Hatch is aging I do not take any day for granted. He was my transition dog the year before my daughter went off to college. She is now 31 and married. And he has been there through all those sad and happy times. Hatch has always not liked fireworks, and gets anxious, but as he gets older he seems to have some separation anxiety when we leave. He celebrated his 15th birthday on April 1 with a Twinkie and you would never know he was the runt of the litter of Daisy’s April Fool pups. We know our time together is limited but hope we enjoy the summer and fall one last time. Those are his favorite seasons.  I am sending some 2016 spring/summer photos of my best friend ever, Hatchy boy. I am so grateful to RAGOM and some of the brothers and sisters of Daisy’s litter we have connected with. Many are now over the Rainbow Bridge waiting to greet him.

Hi Everyone:

Here are some recent pictures of our handsome aging Hatchy boy. He is approaching his 14th birthday on April Fool’s day.

He was one of Daisy’s amazing pups.  He has given so much love and loyalty my heart swells when thinking about him. He is doing ok, still walks at the camp, slower, sleeps well, and still does stairs. Enjoy !

Dear Ragom:

Hatch came from the Daisy April Fools litter on 2002.

I fell in love with Hatch on the Ragom website and we did a road trip to Minnesota to pick him up. We live in a small town, East Troy Wisconsin. We live on a lake and we live next door to a Girl Scout camp. Hatch has been a joy for us, and we have lived here for 28 years. We got Hatch when my daughter was a junior in high school, she is now a Pharmacist and lives in Louisville, Kentucky. He helped me through her leaving and we both enjoyed parenting Hatchy boy as we have aged into this next era. Hatch is doing well, he gets several walks a day and although slowed down can still chase a chipmunk. He has been a blessing and never leaves our side wonderful companion.

He is 12 years old and has been a joy in our life. We live next to a Girl Scout camp and he is the official Girl Scout greeter.  Everyone loves him, and he is such a sweet and mellow boy. His health has been good, he loves walks in the woods, and is always by our side. This winter he started having some arthritis, but still can keep up walking just slower.  Recently we have connected with hatch’s 2 siblings who are both still alive. What a joy these dogs have been to us.  Please keep up the great work and know you have made a happy family with a special dog Hatch.
