Today is the first of what we hope are many “Gotcha” days for our Beau 15-201. We lost our hearts to him the minute we first saw his picture on the RAGOM website. When we met him, in spite of the fact that he was blind, we just knew that he would be a great resident dog for our fosters.
It’s been quite a year for Beau. First, his good buddy and foster mentor Harley went off to the Rainbow Bridge leaving Beau to carry on alone. Over the course of this year he helped two very scared retired breeder girls and one hyper-active former hoarder girl learn to be more confident dogs and to live in a house as part of a family. They have all found great forever homes. Currently he is helping us care for a wonderful foster girl who is in Hospice Care. Throughout it all he’s remained the kind, gentle soul we saw when we first met him.
A few months ago, the pressure in his non-functioning eyes began to cause him a lot of pain and he underwent major surgery to remove both eyeballs. As with everything else in his life he’s just rolled with the punches and kept marching on! We are so blessed that we have had the chance to love this wonderful boy! Thank you RAGOM and thank you Marcia B for letting us adopt him!
